Nothing to sign up for
There is no account, mailing list, comment box or shop on this site, and we never sell personal data. If you write to us, we use your email only to write back.
How we see what you read
We run Google Analytics 4. It drops cookies in your browser and passes Google details like the stories you open, your device and browser, the site that sent you, the outside links you tap, and an approximate place Google estimates from your connection. That tells us which products and creators readers want more of, which shapes what we cover next.
Prefer not to be counted? Block cookies in your browser, or add Google's opt-out extension. How Google handles that data is set out in Google's own privacy policy.
Robots, counted apart
When a search engine or AI crawler visits, we note which bot it was (by its user agent), the page and the time. People are not part of that list, and it holds no IP addresses.
Server logs
Like any host, ours keeps standard request logs, including time, URL and user agent, to protect the site and keep it working.
