Corrections
Product names, formulations and the people behind them are easy to get slightly wrong and important to get exactly right. Here is what we do when we miss.
-
Names and formulations
A product name, line, volume, ingredient position or launch market stated incorrectly is corrected in the text and noted with the date. Brand claims we relayed as fact without their stated basis are reworded and noted.
-
Creators and attribution
A misattributed technique, a wrong credit or a mistaken description of someone's role is corrected as soon as the correct attribution is confirmed with the person or their published work.
-
How readers see it
Every correction has a dated line inside the article. Substantive ones appear at the top; minor ones at the end. Nothing is corrected silently.
